Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic is a relatively new destination for Georgian tourists. Georgians will be hosted here without a visa. The country is located on the island of Haiti in the Caribbean Sea, and here people of all interests will find interesting activities. Be it vacations at the sea, hiking tours in the mountains or cultural tours in the cities.

We won't talk much about the beauty and nature of the Caribbean islands, the blue sea and sun await vacationers all year round.

A particularly attractive destination is Punta Cana, which is distinguished by its sandy beaches and crystal clear water. The vacationers are offered a lot of entertainment activities here, and the hotels are distinguished by their quality and comfort.

You should not miss the city of San Felipe de Puerto Plata, located in the north of the country, whose main attraction is a fortress built in the 16th century, which was used as a defense against pirates and invaders.

Obviously, we cannot leave the country's capital, Santo Domingo, unattended. It is one of the oldest cities in the Caribbean. Here you can combine historical tours and sea vacations. The architecture of Santo Domingo is also distinctive and there are many buildings built in the 15th century.

Besides resort destinations such as Playa Dorada, Las Terrenas, Cabarete or Sosua, you can also visit the Marine Park, the largest of the Caribbean parks, a few hours from Santo Domingo. Here you can dive near the reefs and discover the richest underwater world in the Caribbean.

Another interesting destination for those who are attracted in cultural tourism is the salt mines of Salinas. Thanks to the salt, the lakes acquire a special color, here you will find pink and yellow lakes.
